A Home Aquarium is
Relaxing
Having a
home aquarium has been proven to give the
owners many relaxing moments as they study the aquatic life. A
home aquarium is so soothing and interesting. Watching the fish
move around and observing how the aquatic life move can be very
hypnotic. Think about the tapes and DVDs of simply a
camera taping a normal home aquarium. They sell very well
to help calm the overstressed.
One of
the benefits of a home aquarium is not only the sights but the
sounds that they make. Many people find the noise of running
water to be very soothing; just look at the proliferation of
home decorative fountains to see that. There are also many
white noise machines that feature reproductions of water noises
like rain or waterfall.
Advances
in aquarium technology have led to air pumps and filters to
become a lot quieter than they were twenty years ago. You can
always move an air pump around onto various surfaces to see
what sounds quieter. Then again, after a while, the steady
drone of an air pump can become soothing in and of
itself.
Fish are
underrated as companions and roommates. Sounds stupid but they
don't give you any problems that the owner them self causes.
They are quiet and never beg for food. They are only messy in
one location that is easily controlled.
Interestingly
they
often do unique behaviors just for their "owner" as
opposed to any other person that happens to be around.
These behaviors can include rising to the top of the water and
kissing the surface as if mimicking eating, swimming in the
direction that you are walking or even darting about the tank.
Although it can't be proven that fish feel happiness, it
certainly looks like they are happy to see
you.
Running
a happy home aquarium takes planning, patience and some
technical skill. You also need to devote some time every day
just watching your fish to see if they are in good health. This
activity can be very satisfying as a fish owner as it can make
you feel like you are beneficial to the fish's
livelihood.
